In three small towns (villages) in China they have continued the tradition of hand carving bone and stone. Since these boxes take so long to make, each box takes a minimum of 12 hours, production of each piece is limited to 100 and will not be reproduced again. For over a decade, Jo Marz has combined unusual imported and domestic materials, semiprecious stones and unique findings to create highly collectible designs that are hand crafted by artisans.
